pixelated drawing

i have no idea why this happened but i want it back.

for a while when i drew something in flash CS3 it looked pixelated. (image1) .
anyways i really like when it does that. but now when i draw something the lines are vectored which i don't want. image 2.

now the weird thing, if i open the project its STILL PIXELY (i have a few pixely projects [eg. its happened more than once]) and i can draw more pixely lines with the line tool, however if i make i new project its vector-y again.
so there must be a setting somewhere that does this.

p.s. i have no plugins/extensions etc.

its like when you set the quality of an .swf to "low"; execpt its in the IDE not the .swf.
